Villa Rapale is a luxury villa located between the Arezzo and Siena provinces, in a charming position over the Chianti hills, which dominate the beautiful view all around the villa.
Siena is only at 22Km, Arezzo at 34 Km, Florence at 65 Km and Perugia at 90 Km.
In the 13th century a small romanesque parrish was built where today we see the villa, the surrounding territory has been the site of heavy battles between the Siena and the Florence Republic, which finally overtook Siena.
The small Parrish became the reason of fighting between the Siena and the Arezzo Churches, and a stone column is still there indicating the boundaries between the two diocese.
Through the years, the parrish was demolished and in its place a rural centre was built, which was left untouched up to 1960/1965. Successively it has been abandoned and only in the year 2001 was restructure of the estate started.
