Main Description
Small and characteristic hamlet that has been restored and transformed in cosy holiday apartments in a commercial farm in the green hills of the Chianti Classico. The farm produces wine and olive oil. Beautiful and extensive view of the countryside and the valley.
Shared: equipped green outdoor areas, swimming pool (6x12) ,barbecue and laundry room (coin-operated washing machine). Each apartment is equipped with a TV. Parking. Reasonably comfortable furniture.
Central heating. DISTANCES: 1.5 km from Castellina in Chianti (all kinds of shops), 11 km Radda in Chianti, 17 km Siena, 30 km San Gimignano, 38 km Florence.

Based on comparison with friends who had stayed there several years before us, the villa has been renovated in recent years (new swimming pool, and all internal fittings were in good condition). On site housekeeper very helpful on arrival. Castellina a delightful village, very centrally located for exploration. An obvious point given its location, but Castellina in Chianti and surrounding area is an attractive day trip for people from Florence and Siena- so when planning your explorations bear in mind the village (and the area) can get relatively busy on a Sunday or public holiday. Have stayed there twice. once in 2001 and now in 2006. The pool has been added since 2001. Pool is excellent. Annamaria is very helpful as is the on site housekeeper. Easy access to Castellina and other Chianti hill towns. Easy trip into Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano. Tre Porte ristorante in Castellina is very good. Rental Date
