Beautiful two family farmhouse situated in a particularly panoramic position on one of the hills surrounding San Gimignano, one of the most beautiful towns in this region. The scenery along this road which leads to San Gimignano is very interesting as it winds its way through forests and through the countryside with vineyards and olive groves. The house is characterised by a spacious and equipped lawn with views over the typical Tuscan hills and San Gimignano. To the back of the house is a country road used specifically by trekkers and those on mountian bikes. Private and equipped area for outdoor dining. Within the garden is the swimming-pool (14x7) which is shared. Ideal for walks. Parking. DISTANCES: 6 km Poggibonsi (various shops, train station), 40 km Volterra, 50 km Florence and Siena. Within a 20 km radius are other interesting cultural places such as Colle Val d Elsa, Barberino Val d Elsa and Certaldo.

Casa renaio is a superb villa. The accommodation for the 6 of us in the group was excellent. Maria and her family are excellent hosts. The location provides easy access to many villages/towns nearby (San Gimignano, Siena, Poggibonsi, Voltera, Barbarino, Castellini in Chianti, etc). The overall setting (especially the garden) at the villa is fantastic with great views. Highly recommended |

Villa Renaio is such a perfect holiday home in the heart of Tuscany. The standard of the villa is high, the views are astonishing and you could easily spend the whole holiday by the marvellous pool. The views from the pool are very beautiful in several directions. There was lots of space in the villa for everyone!
The villa is perfectly clean and no effort has been spared to clean the big house to the guest’s satisfaction. The garden and the pool area are as clean and well tended to as the villa.
What more can you expect if you love Tuscany. Right where it should be along with beautiful country houses, vineyards and close to Florence and Siena. The villa is located quite high and with that comes very beautiful views of the Tuscany hills.
The standard of the villa was even better than it was described on the website. There was some unclearness on the website about if you rented the whole house or if the owner lived there as well. We asked Easyreserve and got a prompt answer that the owners live on the second floor. This was of great advantage to us since the owners maintained the property so well.
The villa has a very well equipped big kitchen and a large table that suited our family (8 persons) perfectly. The dish washer machine is also very handy if you are big family.
The pool and the pool area are fantastic! The pool is big with crystal clear and fresh water. It was such a delight to all of us, especially the children of course. The diving-board was very popular. There are many sun chairs with umbrellas in the pool area and there is also some swimming equipment for the children.
There are four big bedrooms in the villa with large wardrobes. This was perfect for us who were two families with four adults, two small kids and two teenagers. The bed however could have been a little softer, if you ask me.
There are two bathrooms in the villa. One is big with a washing machine and one is smaller. The big one was perfect and the other one quite OK.
The area nearby the villa is typical Tuscany country side with narrow roads, sometimes without pavement, luxurious villas and farms and vineyards. The views of the Tuscany hills and San Gimignano are wonderful.
You can easily go by car to the wonderful village San Gimignano, just 5 km away. This is a must! In Poggibonsi you can go to the supermarket PAM and do your shopping for dinners. If you plan on going to Florence, take a bus from Poggibonsi because it is impossible to find a parking lot i Florence. You take the bus just in front of the station building and you have to buy your ticket in advance on the station or at the tourist office on the right of the square. If you are going to Siena, you can bring your car, since there are lots of parking lots there. Siena is a must!
The owners were very nice and helpful in every way. They tended the garden and the pool in such a perfect way and it was funny, you never noticed them. Just the results of their work. The owner's dog guarded us and the property in a very relaxed way! He was very quiet and we really never noticed him either.

Everything was what you can expect/dream for a stay in wonderful Tuscany: landscape view, quietness, climate, quality of the lodging, outside dining facility, kitchen equipment, large swiming pool etc... being near Firenze, Sienna, Voltera and of course San Giminiano is obviously a major plus. |

This villa is perfect for a Tuscan holiday. We had 3 teenagers and 5 adults and we had lots of space. The pool was a fabulous addition. After climing hundreds of stairs in the heat in Perugia or Cortona, you come "home" and dive in the pool. A special treat is to float in the pool as you watch the sun set on the towers of San Gimignano across the valley of vineyards and olive groves. It's so quiet and peaceful, and the air is so fresh, it's a perfect retreat from the cities. |
