Bella casa colonica sulle colline nei pressi di Firenze. La casa si trova in posizione collinare in un piccolo complesso rurale composto in totale da tre proprietà indipendenti. Nel giardino si trova una piscina (10x5) (1/4-30/9) con scala romana degradante, una terrazza panoramica attrezzata ed un barbecue.
Accesso tramite ca. 400 m di strada sterrata. Il proprietario, per la manutenzione, utilizza saltuariamente un appartamento al livello inferiore della casa. La casa è adatta per chi ha animali domestici, in quanto dispone di un giardino recintato ed ombreggiato. Parcheggio.
Connessione internet. Possibilità di prima colazione (15 Euro/persona).

The property and surroundings are wonderful in this very beautiful home. While there were 6 adults in the house it accomodated everyone very well so we didn't feel crowded at all. The owner lives on the property but you would not even know he was there. We felt very comfortable in the villa and enjoyed our stay at Fiorita. The location of the villa was perfect. Close enough to get to places (Florence or day trips out to Siena and San Gimignano) and far enough away to be in the peace and tranquility of the countryside. This is an excellent place to stay and enjoy Tuscany. text4

We spent a week at La Fiorita in July. It is situated on a hill with nice views and breezes. and is very well maintained. It accomodated our party of seven very nicely. We had the owners' family prepare our meals for the first two day, which was a great introduction to Italian cuisine and hospitality, although it was a bit more food (and cost) than we expected. The owners seem to live downstairs full-time, but they are friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. On the negative side, the villa is difficult to find for visitors unfamiliar with the area. Driving to Florence and other locations can be adventurous because the Italian maps do not seem to match the roads. The nearby city (Scandicci) has nothing to offer the tourist. The villa does not have the internet access advertised, but in hindsight that was a blessing so we could enjoy the experience. It is a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay. text4

Our family enjoyed Christmas at Fiorita. We're a three-generation family of ten (with a Golden Retriever). The villa was decorated for Christmas for us -- which we appreciated. This was a happy time in a happy place. The grounds are lovely with a wonderful view from the pool area (which we were unable to use because of our December visit). Our only concern for others would be the ordeal of getting into Florence on a regular basis. The distance isn't the main problem -- it's the route that must be taken to the center. We were fortunate to have part of our family living near Florence in another direction. They've been there for three months and knew the center better than most visitors would and could navigate us to the parking areas easily. text4
